I'd installed QuickImage, along with QuickPlay, FinderIcon, and other cool (and free!) contextual menu thingies from Pixture Studios many moons ago. However, I finally removed QuickImage today after realizing I never use it anymore. And when I use it by mistake, it does what I can't stand: Namely, it has no way of preserving transparency (alpha layer) of the image it's iconizing. This is no good... I can't stand little black borders around my beautiful icons! Part of the problem may be that the author hasn't updated these tools since 2004, so they may no longer work right in Tiger.
