The Open Source Application Foundation's (OSAF) Survey of Open Source Ajax Libraries The OSAF did this survey as research for a forthcoming web-based calendar server product code-named "Scooby." It's a comprehensive list of the many open-source Ajax/DHTML/Javascript libraries as of January 2006. Each one is described briefly, with a bulleted list of its pros and cons.
