This perl program (currently in alpha testing) has the goal of enabling content management for spreadsheet-type data on a website. That sounds pretty useful! It uses Ajax for some of its functionality.
Update 12/17/06. Wikicalc has entered a beta test phase and is up to version 0.9.7. The developers have also published a long screencast demo of Wikicalc.
