Apple's New QuickTime Broadcaster "allows just about anyone to produce a live broadcast event" With those dramatic words, Apple introduces its new QuickTime Broadcaster software as a free download, which appears to be available only for Mac OS X at the moment. The Darwin streaming server that's been available for years was an awesome open-source product that hardly anyone knew about. Hopefully Broadcaster will get some more attention, since it dwarfs the competition in capabilities and is unbeatable at this price point (free).
