Dressing Up Safari’s Search Fields

Details on implement those non-standard, rounded Safari search fields
They're invisible to Windows users... and even to Mac OS X users visiting with Firefox. But it's so nice to see them in Safari: Search fields on web pages that look just like the ones in Mac OS X applications. And it's not just the look... they're actually useful, too! Now you have a built-in cancel button, as well as a built-in "previous searches" menu. This isn't new... it was introduced a year ago in Tiger. But I'm beginning to see them used more and more. You can read more about them here and here, and here's a link to the official Apple guide to Safari HTML.
