MacSlash: Apple To Use ZFS? According to the newsgroup conversation linked to at MacSlash, Apple has inquired at Sun about possibly porting ZFS, a dramatic new file storage system Sun released with the last version of its Solaris OS, to Mac OS X. The report says Sun responded "enthusiastically." Glad to see Apple's not sitting still waiting for Microsoft to get its next-generation file system working, and the one in OS X could definitely be better. Here's an article about ZFS from Sun.
