DeskShade Is for Desktop Lovers DeskShade is supposed to be heaven for those who just love to change their desktop picture all the time. It has inspired a whole web culture of such folks by promoting use of a special protocol for desktop picture links. Besides modding your desktop picture by using its built in manager, you can drag pictures from the web to its little menubar icon. DeskShade also lets you run movies on your desktop, though the utility of that seems questionable. Too bad it can't handle ordinary screensaver movies. Anyway, though I've tried it before, an update has inspired me to try it again.
