Two Very Interesting Ajax Development Projects from Sun

Ajaxian » Sun Announces Ajax Widget Wrapping and JavaScript App Server
jMaki is a scripting component for Java that makes it easy to include JavaScript components from toolkits like Dojo, Scriptaculous, and Yahoo. Phobos is a "JavaScript-based application server for the Java platform." It runs on its own, without need of an applet server, apparently. Makes me wonder if this is a revival of Netscape's server-side JavaScript framework, which they called LiveWire. I was a big LiveWire fan in the mid-1990's and thought it was the best app server available at the time. Of course, that was so long ago... 1997-98.
