Desktop Wrap: Arrange Your Desktop Icons Precisely
Published June 11th, 2006
Desktop Wrap

This is a cool demo of what AppleScript can do, and it works fine for the most part. I need a way to specify the vertical dimensions, as well as the horizontal (which it provides). It also doesn't work for me since if I decide to manually position icons, I lose the "snap" feature the Finder provides normally. Well, at least, the Finder's snap--if you leave it on--doesn't snap to the right row or column after you use Desktop Wrap. This might be fine for someone who has a fairly static desktop, but mine changes pretty much every day.
