TinkerTool System: Why It’s The Best, Well Worth $8

Published June 15th, 2006
TinkerTool System: Professional all-in-one maintenance tool for Mac OS X TinkerTool System SoftwareLike me, you've probably read the reviews and consistent recommendations for TinkerTool over the years. Every time there's a shootout in MacWorld, TinkerTool comes out on top. "But Onyx is free!" you will say. "TinkerTool Sucks!" If you really think TinkerTool sucks, you've probably only tried the free version. It doesn't suck, but it also isn't worth writing home about. The real product, though, is TinkerTool System. A very big, more-than-$8.00 difference. Not only is it powerful, it's responsible and sensible. It's the only tool of its kind that will preview for you the file changes that will occur when you begin a "cleaning" process or other potentially disastrous maintenance task. You can abort if need be, or just rest assured that nothing bad is going to happen. If you're sure you don't need such hand-holding, you can turn this behavior off. I'm keeping it on, thanks! By the way, the company makes a number of other pro-level system administration tools, a couple of which are free. It's worth checking their products list out while you're tinker-tooling around. :-)
