Ubikuo Notes are sticky notes for the web These notes are a good start at this kind of thing... a little quirky still (the free service is in beta mode). But it's really nice that they have a demo login available so you can try it out without setting up an account! Rare these days. The app came to my attention when I saw the Dashboard widget that's available to accompany the website. That's very cool indeed.
