AppleInsider: MS plans free song ploy to convert iPod users Must be nice to have so much money you can just give it away in order to take business away from a rival. Isn't this illegal? It should be. If a foreign company tried it, it would be called "dumping." But Microsoft pulled roughly the same tactic with Netscape in the 1990's, and it worked for them then with no consequences... so why not try a variation of it with to bring down the iPod?
