Yojimbo: Your effortless, reliable information organizer for Mac OS X
Originally downloaded 1/24/06. Well, I just plunked down cash for DevonThink Pro recently after debating the options for months (years?), and I think Devon is really on the ball. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to take a peek at what Bare Bones is offering, would it?
Update 7/12/06. Well, I let my Yojimbo trial expire with no real regrets. Bare Bones should be congratulated for pushing the envelope and thinking creatively, even though I’m not buying the product. This class of application just keeps getting better, and Mac users are benefiting from the creativity and competition in this space. I look forward to seeing what Mac developers come up with next!
Update 11/7/06. This summary of Yojimbo is included in my November 2006 article, “An Ongoing Review of Personal Information Management Tools for Mac OS X: No Perfect Solution (Yet)“.
