TextEditPlus is a tutorial that shows how you can add functionality to existing Cocoa applications like TextEdit using AppleScript Studio. The end product of the tutorial is a “Plus” version of TextEdit that adds some useful metadata to the Document Properties window — you get updated stats for character, word, and paragraph counts in any file you open or work with in TextEditPlus.
