Originally downloaded 9/2/06. This most remarkable free software is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, and covers the entire range of functions you might want to use your iPod for. Unlike most other iPod managers, which cover one facet or another, Yamipod attempts to cover copying (from iPod to PC and back), lyrics, notes (including a Notes editor), duplicates search/destroy, lost files search, playlists management, ratings, synching, and more. On the Mac, Yamipod supports Growl notification. All in all, it sounds like a great bundle that simply must be tried. Probably a key success or failure factor for me will be the usability of the software's interface. (Of course, that's pretty much key to all great software, isn't it?)
