Originally downloaded 10/8/06. I wish I knew more about 3D modeling... Bacon is one of several freeware products I've downloaded this year that let you work with 3D objects. Bacon also does animations. It's very bare-bones looking, but I sense a lot of power underneath the surface. The interface is inscrutable, unfortunately, so learning may be difficult. There's a freeware Renderman renderer that you can download to take Bacon's output and make actual rendered products. Still, if you're on a budget... might be just the thing.
