Macintosh Explorer: Powerful File Manager for Mac OS X

Macintosh Explorer: The First Ever Tabbed File Browser for Mac OS X
Originally downloaded 10/6/06. I'm not sure why I hadn't downloaded this one before... maybe I was put off by the "Explorer" part of its name. In any case, it's clear this one will take some time to investigate... its many features rival those of PathFinder, another Finder alternative I tried out earlier in the year. At $20, Macintosh Explorer is reasonably priced, but it probably still has one of the problems that drove me nuts with PathFinder: Apple's Finder doesn't like to be set aside for any other file manager and keeps popping up to do things that the alternative software wants to do. I'll give it a go, and see.
