RazorSQL: SQL Editor and Database Query Tool for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux

Published October 17th, 2006

RazorSQL - Query, update, navigate, and manage all major databases

RazorSQLOriginally downloaded 9/21/06. I already have several database tools awaiting a try-out, but RazorSQL came to my attention recently, and I know it’s not on the list. From the description, it sounds like a bargain at $50. Supports all OS’s and virtually all databases. Use it to create, edit, describe, alter, and view tables. Import and export data… what else could you want? We’ll see with this 30-day trial.

Update 10/19/06. What I want is a database management tool that’s easy to use, performs well, does the things I need to do, and costs as little as possible. RazorSQL ain’t it. For the gory details on my review of Mac OS X database management tools for MySQL, see my October 2006 article on the subject, including specific findings about RazorSQL.

Version as tested: 3.5.
