Sound Shuffler lets you play random sounds as system alerts

Originally downloaded 12/12/05. Change system alert sounds, add new ones. Sound Shuffler is free that has a background service running that replaces system alert sounds with different ones of your choosing. You have some limited control over the way this works in a preference pane.

Update 10/1/06. Sorry, this wasn’t interesting enough … it often produced somewhat irritating results, rather than humorous ones. I guess in the world of system noises, I prefer to know what each sound means.
