FlyPath: A Finder Alternative That Flies?
Published December 27th, 2006
FlyPath - Innovative file browser and file manager for Mac OS X
Originally downloaded 12/27/06. I happened upon FlyPath tonight because it is apparently offered for free with a license of the company's HTML/CSS editor, GoodPage, which I was looking at (and will be adding here shortly). FlyPath tries to make a case for a single-window file browser, by adding two features to that window: A "shelf," for dropping things temporarily, and a navigation bar. I share the frustration a lot of Mac users feel about the Mac OS X Finder, which, though powerful, feels creaky at times. I'll be curious to see how FlyPath feels. If you don't buy GoodPage, FlyPath is $13.
