Originally downloaded 12/27/06. Wow! I've been looking for a tool that would do this! This is apparently a first stab at providing a platform for this functionality, but it looks like a pretty good beginning. The same developer has now released a service for toggling file visibility off and on in the Finder, presumably using this as a foundation. In addition, this page has "some useful recipes" that give examples of things that you can do with the tool now. Pretty cool!
