Originally downloaded January 23, 2007. I wasn’t a software addict back then, but apparently FinderPop was a wildly popular and valued system add-on under Mac OS 9 and earlier. By the time it was finally updated for Mac OS X last year, there were already scores of such tools available for customizing the contextual menu options in Apple’s new operating system. I tried FinderPop last year shortly after it was released, and wasn’t terribly impressed… not enough to switch from FruitMenu and the many other similar utilities (OpenMenu is also quite cool). However, FinderPop is free, was just updated again, and a lot of folks keep raving about it. So I decided to try it again… FinderPop runs as a System Preferences pane.
Version as tested: 2.0.1.
