HTML Creator: Another HTML Editor Worth Trying Out

HTML Creator SoftwareOriginally downloaded 12/8/06. At only $15, I’m curious to see how this compares with Nvu from Mozilla.org, which is actually a pretty damn good HTML editor. Free, too.

Update 3/15/06. Well, I guess I waited too long… I must have opened HTML Creator shortly after downloading it and put it aside. Now the trial has expired, and unless the developer is willing to give me an extension I’ll have to pass on it.

Update 1/15/07. By deleting the preferences files and reinstalling, I was able to get HTML Creator going again… However, it probably wasn’t worth the effort. HTML Creator hasn’t been updated in almost 4 years now, and its look/feel and many of its options and tools are now out of date. Regardless of what you think of the GUI (I think it’s pretty horrible), I would never recommend relying on such an old, abandoned tool for creating or editing in a medium as lively and rapidly evolving as web pages. This one’s now going to the discard bin for good.

Version as tested: 3.5.1.
