Originally downloaded February 16, 2007. I had earlier tried and rejected the free version of DeskTopple, but the Pro version does look interesting. I'm curious to see if it has any features I don't already have covered with free utilities. It runs as a preference pane and also provides a status bar menu and covers functions for cleaning up desktop icons (for which I currently use the free DesktopSweeper), but not for general desktop picture management a la DeskShade or PictureSwitcher. Its main purpose seems to be to provide a clean workspace for screenshots or presentations, but it also gets in on the "no distractions" motivation, too.
