Originally downloaded February 22, 2007. I'm not sure how I missed the announcement of iThemeOS last fall... perhaps because the developer hasn't posted it on MacUpdate or VersionTracker... ? Anyway, it looks pretty comprehensive and worth playing with. iThemeOS is about $10 and does what CandyBar does for icons as well as what ShapeShifter does for themes. I'm not sure how you make themes for it yet, but it does let you "export" your current theme to its own format, so... ? iThemeOS also has tools for redoing the login screen, for adding custom images to apps, folders, and files, plus a tool for converting images to icons. This is the first product from a new company called Plainshift Software.
Version as tested: 1.0.
